We take credit / debit card details by phone or email to guarantee the booking.

On departure, via the following methods:

• Sterling (cash)
• Debit Cards
• Credit Cards (note there is a 3% surcharge)

• If we get 7 or more days notice, there will be no charge.
• If we get less than 7 days notice we charge in full, but only if we fail to re-let the room.
• Please let us know as soon as possible to minimise the chance you being charged. We encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance to cover last minute cancellations.

Normal check-in times are 11.30am to 1.30pm OR 4.30pm to 7.00pm
However, if you would like to check-in outside these times we are flexible but require prior notice and it depends on room availability. On occasions, we will leave ‘self-check-in’ instructions so you can access the Bed & Breakfast (and your room) at your convenience with your warm welcome arriving at a later time!

Guests must check-out by 10am but are welcome to leave luggage with us if they wish to spend more time enjoying historic York.

For the health and safety of our guests, Number 34 is non-smoking throughout. Should you choose to ignore this policy you will be charged £100 for specialist cleaning to your room. Payment will be taken from the credit / debit card used to secure the room.

For the comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed.
